Broke
It broke (the tape lock) falling off of my bench. Now its pretty much a paper weight. One would think it could handle a 3 foot fall.
Perfect for anything
I've used this for numerous projects and the best part about this measuring tape is the color scheme. Black background with an easy to read green numbers and measurements make a perfect combination. It's sturdy, easy to read, accurate measurements and I'm sure will last for years to come.
Love this tape!
Absolutely love the gen1 shockforce night eye tape measure and the gen2 has many amazing new features except for the shorter cleat. With the shorter cleat it pushes up and doesn't allow u to pull the tape out quick and easy as the gen1 did. Other than that it is great and more durable and scratch and kink resistant.

Readability
Old guy with old eyes. Love the colors-layout-size of numbers. Dislike the thickness of the blade. It bends (breaks) very very easily. Would pay more for one with similar graphics and a heavier blade. Everything else is perfect.
looks tough??
These tapes are slightly more than most so i didnt buy it right away..because i didnt NEED it...should not have bought it..the first inch ripped off after 2 days of use. very thin metal. back to using the dewalt tapes ive owned and abused for years
Coating Is Peeling Off
I saw a Youtube review saying this is a great tape measure so I got one. It didn't stand up to the weather on the jobsite. I was working in the snow and the tape got wet. Now the markings are peeling off. I
Well built tape measure
I've been using this tape measure on my low voltage tool belt for about 5 weeks now. It's been used, dropped, and tested. It's a durable and great tape measure. It's a bit heavy but the added weight is worth the durability when falling from a ladder onto concrete or other abuse seen with daily work in the field.
