Helianthus annuus, the common sunflower, is a large annual forb of the genus Helianthus grown as a crop for its edible oil and edible fruits. This sunflower species is also used as wild bird food, as livestock forage, in some industrial applications, and as an ornamental in domestic gardens.

Remove plants from shipping packaging upon arrival, water if soil feels dry
Additional soil may be required based on type of decorative container size and volume
Items ship pre-bloom and slightly smaller than images shown and will grow into mature plants
Feed with compost in landscape beds or with an all purpose fertilizer as needed in pots and containers; follow label instructions
Trim dead or yellowing leaves to keep the plant healthy and encourage growth.
