Well Manufactured
Nice and solid, with no discernable manufacturing lines or defects. Threads are clean and well sized. Plenty of material for a good wrench hold.

wrong size
Received the item, the non threaded part is 3/4", and it even says it on the item. Looking at the picture, it also says 3/4". Returning this and going with Item #23858 Model #436010RMC That looks to be correct item 1" x 1" diameter.
Worst inferior quality material
Easily bend the male bolt when you press with your fingers. Cannot rely on this product. You will have water leakage 100%.

Both (23858) and (22701) have the same description but different prices so I ordered both thinking I could write about the difference to help the next confused DIYSer. Both have 1" male pipe threads but one has a 1 inch slip (Glue) female end and the other has a 3/4 inch slip female end. Paradoxically, both have the same (02466) mfg # molded into the body! but nowhere is the Lowes item number shown. I assume that the higher priced one is the ! inch slip version but if you want to be sure just or...
