What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise the door's sturdiness, robust locking system, and modern aesthetic, with most highlighting the heavy-duty construction, three locks, and hidden hinges as key security advantages. Many commend the beautiful design and straightforward installation experience. However, a notable group reports the door closer mechanism fails within one to three years, causing slamming or improper closure, with some noting expensive replacement parts and inconsistent warranty support. A few mention cosmetic defects like crooked frames or color mismatches. Despite durability concerns, most customers consider the door a worthwhile security investment.

do not buy...

Would Not Recommend

I purchased this door a year ago and the internal closing mechanism has failed. I just got off with customer service and it's going to cost $160 to replace that single part. definitely seems to be a common issue which I'd assume the manufacturer would honor thier customers. very disappointed

Warranty is worthless

Would Not Recommend

My closer broke at about 2 years like many other reviewers, and not covered by the "warranty", so had to pay 168.04 to get a new one. Could not get at retailer, so had to buy from Larson and waiting for it to be delivered which was said to be up to 10 days.

Installed on every door in my house

Would Recommend

I have five of these installed. I have had them for 7+yrs. Out of the five doors, I had one with a latch mechanism that failed. I contacted Larson and they sent an entirely new mechanism without any question. I also swapped out the barrel locks with high security pick proof locks. I have had no other failures or issues at all. I often leave the front door open and having the storm door locked. This allows plenty of light without any concerns with security.

Great Features

Would Recommend

I had this door installed late August 2026. Scott did a wonderful job installing the door. He showed me how to lock the door (two steps - lift the handle to activate the hardware within the door, then turn the lock). The door itself is wonderful. I can open it fully without sliding anything at the top of the door. Just open the door all the way and it clicks to hold the door open. A slight pull, and it closes. I really like that it's a full view glass. Our grand pups love the full view t...
