Chain comes off
This worked great for the first couple of times using it, but once the chain came off, it has never been the same. Its not reliable, and I can get 4 cuts and the chain comes off, and that's it! I am very dissapointed in this buy, because I had read reviews on the smaller version and everyone was excited about this 18" coming out. It is also very heavy due to the huge battery.

Early but works amazing
I just bought it but cut a handful of 14"+ diameter Mesquite & went right through it. Very impressive when my 50cc Stihl gas saw boggs down very badly. Time will tell but excellent so far.

Great imporvement from the First gen!
Power! Much more than the first generation. However, I will not run well on anything lower than the 5AH battery. I have a few 6AH and they are great with it!

Good saw but oil leaks
This is my second Kobalt 18in cordless saw, so I did Iike the first, but the newest available at Lowes has a leaking issue that I find annoying. The first saw I bought was closed and there was no discharge on the garage floor, but now I have to keep a piece of cardboard to catch the dripping. Nevertheless, it runs pretty good. I'd like to eventually replace the chain. Any suggestions?
