Batteries ate garbage

the battery only lasted for 2 years and maybe 20 mows. now it won't charge. Replacement costs more than the mower new. A similar scam comparable to printers and ink.

Battery Died After 3 Years and 2 Weeks...

Great product, but unfortunately had a 3-year warranty and died 3 years and two weeks after purchase. Used it in my lawn mower, string trimmer, and leaf blower. No luck getting Kobalt to budge on the warranty issue, so I'm stuck with a 5.5 lb. paperweight and the need to spend another $359 if I want to use the three lawn tools that this battery powers.

Costly replacement, but worth the expense

Has more power and lasts longer than my 5Ah battery.

Was refurbished battery

This charged about 6 times, then would not charge. I have 2 other batteries that do charge, and 2 different chargers. Beware of refurb. It will be stamped on the bottom. I contacted Lowe's and was told that was the reason it was cheaper than the other. Not much good, and no replacement. It was packed in a normal Lowe's blister pack.

The product is great, the customer service sucks

I bought the 80 volt weed eater 5 or 6 years ago and loved it. I now have the mower, the chainsaw, and the hedge trimmer. And all of them have been great. The problem is that’s the batteries are dying and they have stopped making the 80 volt line and the warranty sucks because Lowes customer service sucks.
