I've been an industrial maintenance man (mechanical, electrical, welding, and HVAC) for over 30 years. I have worked with my hands and almost every tool imagineable so this is a professional opinion. Good news... bad news.

Let me start with the good news. Is it a ratchet? Yes. Does it do what a ratchet is made to do? Yes. Now the not-so-good news. Is it a good design? No. Does it make using a ratchet easier? Heavy and clunky

I purchased this for one reason. I wanted a small palm socket driver for my tool kit. The price for this was $10 for the tool which contained both the 1/4" and 3/8" head socket drivers. This product is advertised as" ideal for tight areas and ideal for high torque applications. As you can see by the photos normal 1/4 and 3/8 inch ratchets are smaller and considerably lighter in weight.The handle with ratchet installed weighs 1lb 2 oz. Tools that really do the job well are generally single-purpose tools, and, like anything labeled "4-in-1," this ratchet makes some significant compromises in functionality.
