Gets the job done

The classic case of you get what you pay for. I expected better quality coming from kobalt but it's not a bad box. I keep it behind my seat in my Ford Ranger so I can always have my basic tools on hand. I'm happy I can slide the drawers open without pushing my seat forward. I have to leave the key in the box If I want to leave it unlocked. Also you must have the top compartment all the way open to access any of the other compartments. Lousy junk

I have had two of these for about 6-8 months and the drawers will not open all the way and the tops don't close properly. This is the last that I will ever buy from Lowes. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Would rate as less than junk.

ok but lock does not last

lock broke after 2 months of use but the the box is built strong as long as you dont need to lock or keep your tools safe its fire going to weld a hasp on mine atlest it will stay locked then

Well designed tool box, but read the fine print

I bought the whole set, all 3 boxes. They're well designed and sturdy. But Lowe's is switching models, both the drawer liners and the cover are no longer included. If you order this tool box they give you one that is the same design, but no drawer liners or cover. And the Model # is different. It's a quick switch to give you less.

Okay so what can I say. This looks to be a fantastic value! and it can be depending on what you need from your tool box!. The Good! Unlike other brands this comes loaded with some really nice features. first the locks are not blade type key. Great Toolbox - very well built!

I bought this for my son-in-law and was very impressed with build quality and also the included anti-slip mats. Great product!

tools can get under the lock and keep it from working then you have to tilt the toolbox back to clear the lock so you can open it the back of the lock assy should be covered

I'm well-pleased

Purchased this tool chest to sit on my workbench, and it works fine for that. Sturdy construction. Only complaint is that it rocks slightly on the bench, as if either the bottom of the chest or the top of my workbench isn't flat. I haven't investigated which, since at the moment it is a minor problem. Would be easily corrected by simply placing a bit of compressible material underneath the chest, e.g. a sheet of kitchen shelf liner. Good box, but the extras are gone!

Just got this box and the matching 3 drawer middle chest. I like it but it came with NO COVER and NO DRAWER LINERS! Went to the store and they made it right, but upon inspection and comparison of the manuals for the store unit and my unit, they no longer will provide covers and liners for the black tool chests. Need tool box set for a Stock Car Trailer.

This tool box set is the perfect, medium sized set that doesn't take up to much room but still has enough storage space, ideal for the trailer! Large and small drawers for all my needs. Would have pefered that the set had matching keys instead of the 3 different keys, but I can work around that!
