Klean-Strip Concrete & Metal Prep may be good for concrete, and it may be good for rusty metal. It is NOT good for treating clean metal for painting. We treated 2 fenders and a trunk lid that had their paint removed. By morning, all 3 were unbelievably rusty (see photos). We followed all directions to the letter. There are similar products out there that tell you they will cause flash rust on clean metal. Those products have more honest labelling.
