Love this ice maker

This is the third Kitchen Aid Ice Maker we have had in 30 years at this house. Each before this has lasted 15 years! Hopefully this will be the same. We cleaned it regularly by taking off the front and vacuuming, about 2x per year. This last one I had the tubes and all cleaned inside a while back because of mold, so you have to watch that. I love the ice it makes, have my own inline filter so don’t use theirs. All in all has been a great product for us!

Stopped working within 24 hours of purchase.

I bought this ice maker this week. Had it installed yesterday. Within less than 24 hours it has stopped working and won't turn on and has produced only a tiny bit of ice before it stopped working entirely.

Clear ice is wonderful!

Quieter than previous models

Understand the Sounds it Makes

I have not had this installed but a couple day's, so I can't really comment much about the overall performance. What was not explained how 'clear ice' technology works, and what the icemaker is doing. I say this because you it makes noises my other icemaker did not. In the back of the icemaker, there is a water reservoir, (you can see it, and you can see water flowing back into the reservoir. My initial fear is its going to overflow, but it won't.).
