Ice machine cutting grid on all of the time
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would not recommend this ice machine. After the purchase, it came to my attention that the cutting grid is always on and when not actively melting ice has a temperature of 115 degrees F. So in essence there is a constant heater in the ice box. This causes two concerns, one there is always power being used by the grid (heat), the other is it causes the just formed ice to melt quickly. When it works I love it

This new unit KUIX535HPS purchased in May 2025 has not been trouble free, it intermittently and randomly powers off. It has done this at least 7 times in four months of ownership.
