What Customers Are Saying
The cast iron tub is praised for its classic styling, thick glazed enamel finish, and excellent long-term durability. Customers appreciate that it keeps water warm longer and has a textured bottom to prevent slipping. However, some have experienced quality control issues, with the tub arriving with defects like chips, cracks, or rust, requiring multiple returns and exchanges. The tub's heavy weight of around 300 lbs also makes it challenging to install. With proper care, the tub can provide years of reliable and comfortable use.

Second Time with a Scratch
I have ordered a bathtub to pickup twice from this locations. Two times the tub has had a scratch. Thankfully I checked the tub at the store the second time. Such an insane amount of energy spent to still not have a product that I have spent money on. Very poor trust in your handling of large purchases.

Never needs replacing
Cast iron is the only proven king standing solution. Quieter, repairable, easier to clean. I love that this tub is more shallow than normal since it's really only used as a shower anyways, less if a curb to step over.

Quality issues
First delivery had a major missing piece of enamel. Second has chips and cracks. We are behind in our schedule so we have to install it despite being disappointed

Kohler "Living Off Its Name"
Ordered tub three times and each time it was damaged. Kohler is applying the porcelain so thin that it does not survive shipping. In some places the tub was protected by a single layer of cardboard, and the porcelain was fractured underneath. You must pay more for thicker porcelain if you want an undamaged tub.

Brand New Tub Rusting
We bought this tub and our contractor brought it to our home. There was no obvious damage at that time. Sorting the bathroom remodel it was put into place but protected with plastic, etc. It started rusting under the plastic. The bathtub was not immersed in water, was protected and had never been used! The floor of the bathtub rusted (obviously issues with the finish as it's cast iron underneath). I also found small on hole areas of the finish that are down to the cast iron. They are not ...

I installed this tub myself. It's cast iron but not as heavy as many cast iron tubs. I was able to maneuver it around fairly easily and I'm 62 years old. It's cast iron so I won't have to change it out agaIn in my lifetime. It has a nice finish and looks nice.
