Not ready latch or quick release
The pictures in the ad clearly say that it is ready latch quick release, as does the specifications for it. Next to ready latch, it says yes. This seat is not a ready latch seat. It is not quick release. You have to unscrew it to remove it. Definitely not as described, even though on the back of the box it says that it's easy to clean with quick release. Complete bait and switch.
Very uncomfortable toilet seat
I’m an average-sized woman and I’m sorry to say that the Kohler Cachet toilet seat is the most uncomfortable toilet seat I’ve ever used. It has a ridge at the front and a deep well in the center. So your choices are to perch up on the rim or slide way back into the pit. Either way, that ridge at the front presses painfully into the back of your thighs and cuts off circulation. So disappointing!

Ceramics yes, plastics no
This is the fourth such seat I have had to replace in the 6 years we have owned our home. After several years of typical residential use, they have cracked through in various places, but all failed completely and had to be replaced. And one of the replacement seats has now developed a crack. I have had to replace the valves in all of our toilets in the house as well. Kohler may know ceramics, but the other parts of their products do not have a very good track record.

Really like this product though it does slip a bit. I think that might actually be due to a construction flaw in the Kohler toilet base. All in all, much better than the previous generic brand seat I was using.
