Difficulty to install in tight space. Specifically compatible for the Kohler tub I purchased was afraid to use anything else but the price is crazy.

Mine Leaked Also - Avoid This Product
I just came back from and extended (snow bird) absence and noticed a leak from under my bathtub after taking a shower. Sure enough, there was water dripping from my Kohler Cable Bath Drain. If you search the web you will find many, many others who have had the same experience. This drain has been in place for years and just started leaking so I assume the little o-ring that provides the only seal at the actuator lever has dried out or has worn out. Leaks at the control box, causing damage below the tub
It seems to be a pretty common failure, but the control box that the cable connects to ends up leaking over time. I don't know why they put a small access panel with two screws on it when it's an obvious failure point, but whatever gasket is in there just deteriorates over time. Water from the bathtub ends up shooting out of the seams of this box, which ruined my downstairs bathroom wall.
