Great tool for rough work

This rasp was just what I was looking for. I was looking for a coarse tooth blade for some rough work I was doing with rough cut lumber and this tool did the trick. The only thing they could do better is put a hanging hole through one of the handles. I prefer to hang a tool like this so it doesn't get dulled if stored in a drawer with a buch of other heavy metal tools. I drilled a hole in the forward smaller handle.

Sturdy

Easy to handle. Smooth cutting. Fairly easy to clean. I like how sturdy the construction is.

Handy — for light duty

The adjustable handle is a nice idea. It's also a clue that this isn't a heavy-duty tool. I used it to plane an ancient door made of yellow pine with many old coats of paint — you wouldn't throw an expensive wood plane at a job like that. The coarse teeth cut smooth but with a lot of effort. The rasp is very thin and flexible, and it flexed so much it wouldn't stay straight on the frame. Easy to Use / High Quality

Use to help build scoreboards for bags and washers, used to smooth edges and make corners flush. I plan to experiment by using for other wood projects in the future, very durable tool.

Rasp File Cleans Up Wood Rough Edges Fast

The Jorgensen 10 inch Multi Position Rasp File is a welcome addition to my toolbox. It has an ergonomic design which allows easy clean up of wood edges. Incredibly comfortable and easy to use vs old ones

This is a nice little rasp planer. It is incredibly comfortable to use. It is not as heavy as the ones I have historically used, but I'm not sure that matters for durability. it removes material faster than the one my dad had around the house when I was a kid.
