Warranty lasts a year. About 16mo in, the thing began to freeze and fill with ice, despite being in a traditional room temp living room, with predominantly seasonal use. Worked great while it lasted, though.

Worked for 2 summers

Worked well for two summers, though it is loud. But when I tried to start it this summer the fan runs but it does not remove any moisture, not a drop in the bucket.

no warranty

when my dehumidifier died in warranty this was the response I got from the manufacturer: The dehumidifier is branded JHS and was purchased through a retailer, rather than directly . Unfortunately, this means that I do not have the authority to intervene directly in your order.

Functional but annoying

Poorly made water storage tank. It has a lip on it so when you remove it a little water spills out. It takes a few tries to attach a garden hose as the threads are not that good. Even though the garden hose for draining was hooked up it still went in the storage basin. I have to lean the who unit back to make it drain properly. Once again if you buy the lower cost items they are not well built or designed.

This does what it is supposed to. We have high ceilings which hold moisture in the humid Southern summer and this has solved that. The bucket is easy to empty and has a little handle to help you carry it. The controls are easy though the instructions were pretty vague. It is very loud though. I don’t have any way to measure db to know if the reported level is accurate. Ours is in the living room and we have to to turn it off to watch TV.

Seems to be a good dehumidifier

Is effective in getting humidity down in a 1800 sq ft home. While energy star, this will add about 2Kw hours a day to your electric bill, you can notice the change. Small bucket but has option to use a small hose which is not included. The big test will be to see if it lasts over a year. Problem with dehumidifiers is the defrost function can stop working and then you have a brick of an appliance that will still suck up energy while doing nothing.
