Bit is too wide for extractor

Hole made by bit is too wide. Made hole deeper, resulting in extractor tearing off head of screw. Bizarre that extractor is threaded most of its length, even though only tip engages with screw head.

Ineffective. Lost the bit now. Worthless

Didn’t work at all. Drill wouldn’t even penetrate the license plate screw. The extractor never bit into the screw. Ended up stripping the screw completely. I’ve tried everything so far. Dremel cut to make flat head screwdriver Nothing worked so far

Reverse bit broke

The drill bit was fine went right though the screw reverse bit went in good got good grip then split in half without putting that much pressure on it.

Good but Things you need to know

Nowhere on the package does it tell what size extractor to use with what size screw. That is hidden on the website. I suspect many people with problems are using the wrong extractor. Also it is important to use the right size bit which will be an oddball size so the combo pack with bit is worthwhile. Since an extractor covers a range of sizes, you may have to drill much deeper than you expected. If it is not getting a bite, drill deeper, try, drill deeper, try again. Worthless

The drill worked fine to go through the problem screw. However, the extractor snapped into two pieces, leaving part in the hole just drilled. When I tried to use the drill bit again, it also snapped in half.

Worked great

I used this to successfully remove a badly cross-threaded screw. Drilled a shallow hole then used the extractor by hand. It only turned a 1/2 turn before slipping. So I drilled the hole deeper and tried again. The extractor bit and stayed engaged this time. I used a crescent wrench with the extractor, not a power tool.
