Husqvarna Z242F 42-in V-twin Zero-turn Riding Lawn Mower

Cuts good

Bought this a couple of months ago, and it is my first zero turn. I do not know if it was manufacture defect, but the starter solenoid went out with 12hrs on it. Belts are already loose for the main drive. Seems like there is a main drive pully that may have bad bearings, the shocks on the hand controls like to freeze up after not being used for a week. and I have had bolts fall out of the foot deck. Will also be upgrading the tires to something with a tad bit more grip for the slopes around my...

This machine is tremendous in so many ways and a new owner should take the time to educate himself in order to operate safely and achieve desired results.

Cutting deck is sturdy and cuts nicely, leaves our 1/2 acre of centipede grass looking like a golf course. Mower operation was easy to learn as it's my first zero turn. The mower works as advertised

The mower works just fine. THE PROBLEM IS: when I bought the mower I opened the owner’s manual and found two manuals in what I believe is Chinese. Since I do not read Chinese I could only look at the drawings. I contacted Husqvarna and was told that I could download the manual. I explained that I was not willing to use my copier to produce the correct manual, in English, that should have been in the packet. I was assured that a manual in English would be sent to me. FACTS after three times using the Z242F

I just bought my Husqvarna Z 242 F from a local dealer the end of May 2021. I have only had it a couple weeks and I bought it for my personal yard which is NOT acreage... a relatively small lot that I use to mow with a push mower in approx. 1 hour if the grass was shorter. Performs well but......

Mower performs well. Starts right up. Plenty of power. Cuts well. But its mulching cover and mulching performance fall short. The mulch cover is not easy to put on. Terrible design. When mulching the debris and dust flys out from under the deck swirls around and gets all over you. It is not fun. Gets in your eyes and not to mention breathing it in. Very dissapointed in this. Otherwise a nice mower with some good features.
