Appears to be quality made. Recent use was a pleasure, did everything I needed. Wasn’t overpriced for a name.

Don't buy this

After using it for the first time, some items fell out and the metal guard pieces even broke. I returned and get a new one, now after 5 months with very few usages, yesterday another part fell off , a nail came out from no where, the metal guard broke again, I am just very worried that the pieces might get to my face while cutting my lumber. The little hole to get the sawdust into the bag always got stuck and they ended up fly all over in my workshop, nothing was collected in the bag.

out of box, could not use!

opened box, tried to loosen tilt knob. can not move,, used long bar for a little help, turned 3/4 of a turn did not loosen at all. bought the previous model 2 mo. ago for my son,, it worked Great! so i bought one for myself,, sorry i did, back to my 12 inch bosch.

Good value

Nicely built saw for the money. If you're a pro, then you'll wince at this basic model. But for DYI homeowners, this should be fine. Cuts through a 4x4 completely. I found the provided blade to be a little more of a rough cut than I wanted, so replaced with a fine toothed one. As others have mentioned - forget that an sawdust bag even exists, those never work any way. Not a bad saw for the price.

Shopped around for a low cost saw. For the price its much higher quality than the stuff from the other stores. Only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is it doesn't have a laser. I guess I could replace some of the burned out bulbs in my garage so I could see the pencil marks. I comes with a carbide blade but if your doing finishing work your going to need a higher tooth count.

Relatively easy to use

This is my first miter saw and I really liked how well it did. I was cutting oak baseboards and it did a straight, smooth cut every time.

The Miter Saw

It was square cut right out of the box. Light but powerful. No laser but that was my choice. Not very good dust collection but that is typical with miter saws.. It was even accurate with bevel cut and I checked angle setting of blade with digital protractor and it was spot on. Good solid stops on miter angles and decent hold down clamp.This saw is a good value. I am a Retired tool maker.

Hitachi 10" Miter Saw

Avery well built saw, great price, easy assembly right out of bow, a minor blade adjustment I had to make. It works great. I installed a 12' x 12' Vinyl floor in an entry way in mother-in-laws home. Final job looks terrific. This saw made my job 75% easier than I thought it would be. Angles on molding came out perfect.
