After 6 months of use the internal screen on water pump clogged with slime. This can only be cleaned by disassembling the unit. Poor design. Otherwise after one year of use the unit still works well but is now somewhat noisy.
Rather fragile
It seems to pump the water to a nearby sink very well. However, while completing the recommended maintenance of cleaning the filter, a few of the tabs on the air intake grill broke. They are surprisingly very fragile. I called the customer support line and was told I would have to buy replacement grills. This loss wouldn't be covered as I attempted a "repair." Old and new comparisons
This dehumidifier works great, however, the one it replaced was a 50 pint size and the bucket on it appears larger that this 70 pint bucket. I have to empty the bucket more often. Not sure if it's just because it's collecting moisture faster or because bucket doesn't hold as much. Overall size of the two units is close to the same with old one slightly larger.

I am on my third (3rd) Hi Sense Dehumidifier in as many years. But that doesn't mean that they are bad per se, it think overall their Quality Assurance leaves a lot to be desired and if you get a good unit, it has potential to be a great appliance. Fails just after warranty ends
Amazingly just after 1 year it started leaking on the floor. Then it started shutting off as if it's full but it wasn't. This thing is trashed. It never from day 1 read the humidity level correctly.

Lasts Just Past Warrenty then Quits Dehumidifing
Two stars for the year it ran. Bought the unit in July of 2016. And it stopped working in August of this year. Did not last two years
I purchase this dehumidifier from Lowes in December 2014. Shortly after the warranty expired, the unit stopped working. It would power up and run all day, but not collect a drop of water. The coils would fill with solid ice. Worst of all, neither Lowes nor Hisense would attempt to help me repair or replace the unit.
