Poor Quality Bare Root
I've purchased many plants in the past from other sources shipped as a bare root with great success. The crimson red rhubarb bare root purchased early this spring from Lowe's looked rotted without any indication of the potential for sprouting buds. I planted it anyway to give it a chance. Three months later, still nothing. After digging up the root, found it was definitely rotted and no budding taking place at all. It never grew
Planted it and waited all summer, watering it with the rest of my garden. While the rest of the garden grew, the rhubarb never even sprouted. Very disappointed!
