Bloomstruck is part of the Endless Summer family, and like most of the varieties in the series blooms on new and old wood. This means you will get blooms whether you have severe winter die back or after you prune. Bloomstruck hydrangea produces mophead-style flower heads alongside dark green leaves. Its color is dependent upon soil pH, producing rose-pink blooms in alkaline soils and violet or blue flowers in acidic soils. The flowers sit on top of red-violet stems that really stand out.
