Don't use this junk
contractor used this product and the grout began to flake up like chaulk in a few days. I removed in one room and used water instead and still looks good 6 months later.
Better than tap water
Using the grout boost instead of water makes for more consistent grout color and eliminates concern about minerals in the water affecting grout color.

Grout Boost Additive
We put this in our grout when we built our house about 5 years ago and the grout still looks brand new! Definitely worth the low cost!

Grout Boost, Clear Grout Additive
I initially purchased this item because I thought it was a grout sealer. I used some of it as a sealer for set grout, and it worked (so far) as well as an intended-to-be-sealer. I am about to use it as an additive to grout I will be mixing, and expect it will work as intended as a sealing agent during grout cure.

Professional Tile Contractor
Fantastic product. Used it many times on bathrooms all over Baltimore and Carroll County. You must clean tile right away. If you wait for it to dry to a haze your in trouble. All grout directions say to wait for grout to dry to a haze. Very bad idea. It will get away from you. Them you’ll use too much water and grout will turn white. That happens even without the boost. Use a damp sponge and not soaking wet and do small areas. 6ft x 6ft. Also DO NOT MIX WITH WATER!! Most homeowners try to save...
Used as directed
the product mixed well and did not bleach my espresso grout. I don't know what the others did. if you over work cement products (grout) in general it can affect the finish. I will post back if the grout stains, I like the lifetime warranty.
Changes grout color
I've used this before with no problems but the last couple of containers have really lightened my dark grout, and yes, I used as directed....

Grout Boost
We followed directions very carefully and our 1200 sq ft basement is awful looking. It bleached out the grout color about 7 down on the color scale. Lowes has been very nice and is going to "work" with us. I don't know if it is stain resistant which is why we bought it.
We are sorry that you had a bad experience in trying Grout Boost Grout Additive. There is a possibility that this is efflorescence (a white, salty co...
