The chain does not get tight enough and you have to constantly retighten the chain or it will fall off. It also leaks a lot of chain oil making a huge mess. Unsafe!! Don't waste your money!
Poor chain reliability
I really wanted to like this chainsaw because it's lightweight, easy to handle, and comfortable to use. I also have other Greenworks products that are amazing! Unfortunately, the experience went downhill immediately. As soon as I removed the blade guard, the chain fell off. I managed to put it back on and used it once, but the chain kept slipping off during use. That made it frustrating and raised concerns about reliability. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this chainsaw.

Exceeds Expectations
I bought this little saw when my 15-year-old gas 18" fell apart from ethanol in the gas. This saw cuts at least as well as my old one through 4" branches - if not better - and is much easier to maintain. And I don't have to mix 2 cycle gas anymore.
great price for great tool
Sadly, last year I fell for all the fake reviews of the WoodRanger mini chainsaw. That toy burned up its motor after only 2 uses. Poor junk. Gladly, I researched more trusted reviews and ordered the GreenWorks 6in mini chainsaw. Just got done trimming a dead branch from our maple tree (about 5in in diameter & about 8 ft long). Perfect saw to have
I bought this to trim my tree. I needed to to cut the low hanging tree limbs. It worked better that I thought it would. It cut smooth and fast. The biggest limb I cut was abut 2 inch in diameter, had no problem cutting it. Good tool to have in the tool shop. I was impressed on the durability, I dropped it from the top of the latter, about 20 feet and did nothing to it, it kept right on working.
