Rust in the basket

This machine is rusting somewhere in the basket. While it does not leave rust stains on my pants, shorts, and towels, it does leave rust stains on my shirts and sheets because they are thin enough to get right up to the edge of the bottom of the basket and get slightly under the lip. It's always the same curved shape. I'm glad that most of the time I can get the rust off of materials with stain cleaner and a toothbrush, but not always. I'm well more than disappointed. DO NOT BUY!

Do not buy

Since purchasing this product, I’ve had nothing but issues with it. Do not try to wash more than four bath towels. Do not try to make a large load. Do not do not wash a comforter in there. This washing machine is not made for any of that even though it’s a large we’ve had a repairman at our house many times - they’ve replaced a sensor. They keep replacing the springs and I still have issues. The washing machine works fine for a few months after they leave and then it’s not working anymore. The...

Lousy Appliance

Don't waste your money. Was happy to invest in hometown produced product, but was sadly disappointed when the machine caused ruination of some clothes because after using bleach in one load ....the next load not was stained by bleach Also, having owned the machine for less than 2 years, we saw that the 'stainless steel' tub was rusting. GE would not replace the tub. Their warranty did not cover rust. Unbelievable! The fact that it had a stainless steel tub was one of the reasons we bought it.

Piece OF CRAP

This machine is a piece of crap! Purchased it March 2024 and I have gone through 5 main control boards to date! I will never again purchase a washing machine from GE. It has had other issued as well but the worst being the mother board!

GE Washer

I love this washer!!! I handles all my washing problems large and small. I only wish I had the dryer or the compatible one to match. My dryer broke down after 35+years. I wish I could find another like it.

Not built to last

Washer is less than 3 years old (delivered 08/17/23) and it just stopped working. We are only 2 people in the home and do not overwork the machine by any means. By looking online, it appears that it may be the lid lock, and also says something about the circuit board needs updating. Of course, we don't know how to do this, so will have to call in a repairman. I would not recommend this washer. Not built to last.

In Another Life, This Thing Was A Printer

Where is the option for negative stars? I HATE THIS THING!! I just finished another round with it (it won this one) and finally just threw the “unspun” clothes into dryer. Terrible mechanics washer died after 3 yrs.

This was has been the worst washer I have ever had. I had to have the belt and clutch repaired just after a year and a half. Now the transmission went. The washer was bought in February of 2023. It died today and I had to buy another one. Not worth repairing again. I will NEVER PURCHASE another GE Product. The dryer didn’t work either right after it was delivered. They had to replace the entire guts of the dryer. That was purchased in April of 2025. Not reliable products.

GE TL WASHING MACHINE

The washer has around 3 to 4 years of service. It’s definitely not worth the money. The agitator brakes off from the bolt that holds it on and it’s rusty. Purchased new in 2022. It is hard to even out the load no matter what size you wash. Save yourself some money, time and headache. Warranties run concurrent. Please do your research.

Agitator Bolt

We bought this washer (GTW465ASN9WW) 2 years ago and the agitator bolt (part # WH43X34257)sheared off inside the housing was not stainless steel! We bought the type with a stainless steel basin for a reason and for the most important component of the agitator to not be stainless is what I believe they call planned obsolescence and it is disgusting.
