Didn’t work out of the box

Delivered May 6th, Professionally installed and has yet to work. Tech came out a week and a half later. He had to order a new motor. Tech not coming back until June 2nd to replace motor. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this dryer.

12 yrs and going strong

After 12 yrs, my dryer is still doing great. Couple of issues though, 1. the timer knob will need lubrication if stuck (happend twice in my 12 yrs ownership). 2. My unit is sitting in the garage where it gets cold in the winter. The auto shut-off setting will not work due to, I suspect, the temp sensor unable to detect the dryness due to the ambient coldness. Great Dryer for a Laundry Closet

This dryer is a replacement for the same model that was damaged from a roof water leak. It is a dryer that can hang on the wall and vent vertically thru the roof. It is the only dryer that will fit in our laundry "closet" at our condo. It hangs above the washing machine. We glued two magnets underneath the dryer that hold up the washer lid while the washer is being loaded or unloaded. We lover this dryer and it works fine!

It worked very well, dried fast had 240 Volts which is what we needed. This is the only one in this size that provided the correct voltage. Why don't more of the small dryers provide this?

Horrible

I live in an apartment and this dryer was provided and is brand new. It’s Horrible. Clothes actually come out wrinkled, even POLYESTER. It’s really hard to wrinkle polyester. Just ridiculous. I’ve tried all the tricks and nothing gets the wrinkles out except ironing. I haven’t had to iron my clothes in 15 years! I’ve old dryers in the past that were way better!! Now I have too purchase my own dryer and rest assured it won’t be GE

This is a great dryer for a small space!

The dimensions of this dryer are perfect for my very narrow house; however, the inside dryer space is perfectly large enough to effectively dry a full load of laundry. So far, I'm loving it!

Items may take awhile to get.

The knobs are on the bottom, which is perfect if I had intended on stacking it with the washer. I purchased it for its small size for my laundry closet. But there is no way to use this without laying on the floor to start it. I would have preferred the knobs on the side. However, I did end up purchase the rack for stacking. Laying on the floor started to get old 😆.

Not like the old Spacemaker

The drying time is not as quick as the GE Spacemaker Dryer that I replaced. A load of towels takes twice as long as it used to. The door does not stay open when loading it. The dial does not line up exactly with the labels.

Problematic service and product

I bought this unit at around mid-march in 2018. It arrives with an important feature not working on Day 1 - the unit would only run for 10 mins under the auto drying option. A technician has visited twice since then and still could not fix the product. He told me to call up GE to find out what's next. Issues with product

Loose hardware internally. Needed to remount bottom clips. Very sharp edges on top. Either wear gloves when lifting or cover with aluminum tape.
