I removed my double nozzle because it wouldn't fit which is understandable since I added that piece. Sits over and touches against the wall. The rubber that goes over the handle works well but with cold will eventually rip but don't mind for the great price. So far no freeze. Styrofoam insulated so I think I'm good. Would recommend

Good, Not Perfect

The retainer could have been stronger if it used something like a Zip Tie with a release. It was hard to get snug enough to close the gaps from the siding. I had to modify it with tape, but I'm not sure that will hold in the extreme cold of below zero temps.

Frost King with Hard Plastic Cover

These faucet covers work really well. They are really easy to install and have kept my faucets from freezing so far into the mid 20 degree range. I wonder how low the temperature can go with these still protecting my exterior faucets, since there is no protection info on the cover itself, and Frost King's web site dioes not have a figure. .

Did not work for me

During the last cold snap I purchased this product to help protect my out door facet from freezing. This product did not help the facet froze. Now the facet drips and I will have it repaired. The facet was in the north side of the house, it did take on the stiff artic wind coming from the northwest .

Standard Hard Plastic Faucet Cover

The cover is pretty well designed EXCEPT for the flexible plastic stem that has a circular loop that attaches to the faucet and is used to hold the cover against the outside wall of the house. The stem has notches to grip an external adjustable lock, but the notches are only on one side of the stem and do not extend far enough along the stem to mate with the adjustable lock. I will have to somehow extend the inner end of he stem about an inch with a heavy duty rubber band or something similar so...

Well worth the $$$.

If this item can prevent a burst pipe then it's worth every penny. One review that I read prior to making this purchase stated that with current building codes, a vacuum breaker was a requirement on new construction or replacement faucets adding an additional one to one and a half inches to the length of the fixture. I have vacuum breakers on both of my outside spigots and this cover fit like a glove. Simple to install. 'Sealed' nicely to the brick face on my home and vinyl siding on my daughter...

Simple but highly effective.

For a very small cost we protected our outside faucets and made them usable at temperatures below freezing. That was important to us so we could occasionally top off our hot tub.
