Not for hunters, fishermen, or a side of beef

This freezer has a larger capacity than our previous freezer but holds less. The drawers add convenience but reduce the overall freezer space. We completely removed the lower drawer to allow 1 1/2 times more storage. The shelves are plastic, offering adequate but not strong support. The shelf with the largest height cannot hold a full box of meat without resulting in a permanent bend in the shelf. So Far So Good

The appliance gal at Lowes was very good. This freezer replaced a 15 year Kenmore (Fridgedaire) that was nearly identical in design and layout. So this indicated a good design. My parents had a Frigidaire refrigerator for 50 years (1946 1996) and still ran when we had to dispose of it. This freezer was to replace another 20 cu ft unit from a different brand that had failed after 25 years and needed immediate replacement to prevent food loss. Spacious and attractive

Bought this upright freezer less than 2 years ago and within 3 months the compressor went. Lost hundred of dollars worth of food. What I like: 1. It is taller than our old freezer, allowing taller items to be easy stored. So, though only 5% larger in rated capacity, it is much more spacious. 2.
