The Radicans gardenia is a fantastic low-growing gardenia. This beauty packs the same wonderfully fragrant, crisp white blossoms as larger varieties, but in a smaller package. These blooms start to appear in late spring to summer. The foliage is slender and petite, with a point on the end. Furthermore, this variety maxes out at 6 to 12 In. tall and spreads to about 24 to 36 In. wide. Use as a low-border, accent, container, or foreground plant in a mixed bed. Hardy from USDA Zones 8-11, and grows best in full sun to part shade. Water 2-3 times per week during the first growing season. Prefers acidic soil with good drainage. Fertilize yearly in spring with an acidic plant fertilizer.
