Deliver fast, even radiant comfort with Aluminum Heat Transfer Plates engineered to pull heat from the tubing and spread it across the floor surface. Each plate accepts 1/2 in. or 5/8 in. PEX (including PEX-AL-PEX) and works in two common configurations: snap into our Grid Modules above the subfloor, or fasten beneath the subfloor for staple-up installs in joist bays. Better tube-to-aluminum contact improves heat output, shortens warm-up times, and helps you run lower supply water temperatures for efficiency. The die-formed channel cradles the tube for consistent contact, helping reduce "striping" and hot spots for smoother, more uniform floor temps. Plates are 11 in. L x 6 in. W x 3/4 in. H, lightweight for easy handling, and install quickly with common fasteners (pre-drill where needed; avoid over-driving near tubing). Use our Thermal Reflecting Foil or insulation below in joist bays to limit downward loss, and the same Thermal Reflecting Foil plus a cement-board thermal mass layer above the subfloor in our Grid Module and Heat Plate systems for stable efficient comfort. Great for kitchens, baths, basements, additions, and whole-home radiant projects. Typical layout follows tubing at 8 in. on-center for balanced loops and responsive control (grid system). Pair with our Pre-Assembled Distribution/Control Panel, Grid Modules, and Thermal Reflecting Foil for a clean, highly efficient system from boiler to floor.
