Wire inside of the cooktop is burned in 3 months

DO NOT BUY this cooktop, it is totally garbage! The control would change by itself when you are not even touching it. Wire is burned inside of the cooktop within 3 months after installed. We got the cooktop installed on Feb. 1st 2026, it was burned on April 21st 2026. The whole kitchen smelled like burning plastic, and we had to shut off the kitchen power. It would catch on fire if we didn't do so. Called Lowe's right away, and they sent their contract installer to check out the problem. They ...

I decided to step up to an induction cooktop in my new home. I did my research and knew that the size of the burners is important. This Empava 36" cooktop looked like the perfect fit. Once it was installed and I tried it out, I noticed that the 11" center burner only heated an area of about 5.5". I contacted Lowes, who referred me to the manufacturer.
