GARBAGE
These switches are garbage. You need to purchase a hub, Eaton doesnt sell one. If you have any issues the hub vendor will blame it on eaton, eaton on the hub. The switches dont work 15% of the time. The 2nd switch in the 3-way doesnt even wire connect to the light circuit, just wifi connection to the "universal" switch that is actually wired to the lights. I have both this, and the RF9640-N and this product is just complete garbage. Getting this paired up with my smartthings hub (which is z-wave compatible) took forever, and when it did finally connect and I created an association for the master RF9640-N switch it still fails to function as a switch at all. The one star reviewers seem to have not read instructions and may not be familiar with z-wave device connections. This switch must be used in the same circuit as an RF9601 or the Eaton dimmer Z-wave switch. Without the primary switch you will have trouble connecting. Work great with both my Hubitat and with Smartthings hubs.

Garbage DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.
What a garbage product that I have seen in my 22 years plus as an electrician. Normally I dont let clients purchase their own switches and I should have stuck to my instincts. I spent 7 to 8 minutes rewiring the 3 way switch wiring to make it work as per the sh$%y directions because it will not work with standard wiring for 3 way wiring, you need to us the Zwave hub to make it work according to the directions which is a nightmare. Just Terrible
Installation instructions are terrible, setup instructions are terrible, won't connect to z-wave hub, the accessory switch does not work, the Eaton mobile app is useless and you can't even log onto to it. Save yourself the headache avoid this garbage. i will be returning this to lowes after wasting hours trying to get it to work.
