you can't charge the generator while it is in use
haven't used it yet because I thought the charger was in the main unit. Charger is sold separate as a solar charger at $169.00. So be prepared to get this with the solar panels.

Used to charge my power station while camping. We would run the 4, 7.5 aH batteries down to about 60% overnight and this panel would bring them back to 100% during the day. Like any solar panel, it needs to be moved periodically to catch the sun from the best angle. Sturdy and easily to use
