The brilliant blooms of Gervase are the perfect winter pick-me-up. Within 4-6 weeks 5 pink, candy-striped flowers per stem create a colorful escape from the dull, gray days of winter as they emerge one after another. Each offer includes one 26 cm diameter amaryllis bulb planted in a container measuring 6.5 inches tall and 7 inches wide
Place near a well-lit window away from direct heat sources on a protected surface
Upon arrival, water moderately with luke warm water sparingly before buds appear, keeping soil slightly moist after buds appear water a few times a week, but avoid overwatering
To promote reblooming next year, cut the flower stalks after blooming an inch or 2 above the bulb, keeping the leaves intact, then transplant to a slightly larger pot, keeping original soil around the bulb and water as needed
Late summer, stop watering, allow the foilage to wither and cut the leaves off store in a cool, dry place for 6-weeks to 8-weeks and then move to a well-lit, warm area and resume watering once growth begins
