Dearborn Triplever Linkage Assembly - Brass Construction

doesn't meet code sizes

diameter of plunger is 1 1/4. code for tub drain is 1 1/2 so this makes stopper pointless.

Don’t throw away any old still useable parts.

I was replacing like for like Keeney Trip lever assembly’s. After about 17 tries I finally gave up and threw the replacement stopper away and used the old one. No matter what I did or said was that new stopper going to drop in and stop the water, but the old one worked first try.

Improve style

Should be a flexible chain not solid metal

plunger is to big

plunger plunger was to big took it back and used the old one

Plunger is oversized

Measure your old plunger before picking this up! The plunger is about a 1/16th too large and does not fit into the drain assemble. After reading through the comments, I discovered this to be a common problem. I wound up using the linkage but attaching the old plunger from the part I was replacing. Complete waste of time and money.

Gets the job done.

Easy to assemble. Relatively cheap for the convenience. It gets the job done.

Too short and thick

Like others have said, this is not universal. I had to use my old plug with it and extend it to the very end, and I will likely end up replacing part of the linkage with a longer piece of wire.
