DEWALT Plunge Base For Compact Router

Great addition to compact router

This is a great plunge base. I needed to build some fluted jambs recently to match some existing trim. This did the job well and I’m glad to have it in my tool arsenal.

I bought this many years ago,, I love it, plenty of power and all bases make it great to do just about any job!

GREAT Plunge Base with DCW600 for Guitar Building

Combination of this plunge base with the DCW600 cordless router is superb for routing out guitar body cavities and neck pockets using router templates and pattern bits. This base makes it so easy to control depth, which is crucial for neck pockets.

DNP612 Router Base

This plunge base is smooth to slide or plunge and is an excellent addition to my cordless and corded compact routers. All of my Dewalt compact routers fit the plunge base well and work well. . . :-)~

Almost worked out of the box

Out of the box my router would not slide into the base as designed. Tried to clean small burrs out of bore with 320 grit sand paper but still hard to install. Adjusted clamp ccw 1/8 turn and it now fits perfect. All in all very happy. Grips have great gription. Plunges easily and lock is very positive. Plung adjustments have great range and rod micro adjustment is very sensitive in a good way. I only wish the base had a machined center line for the bit center. Also the instructions are very har...

Edge guide

I was able to use the edge guide that goes with larger DW621 router. This base is also equipped with holes for a different edge guide, but with rods spaced closer together - nowhere can I locate such a guide. Any ideas?

Great plunge base

Easy switch over to the plunge base. Base is easy to adjust to your needed use. Easy to use and has smooth plunge. Great addition to the compact router.

Works great with dcw600b compact router

easy to use and works great with compact router. added the DNP616 dust collection attachment and made a normally messy task almost dust free.
