Ordered the sander for delivery. the box showed no signs of damage, but when I opened it, the dust management bag was covered in mold. It was likely packed wet as the box showed no evidence of water damage. makes me wonder what hidden moisture damage is in the sander itself.

It's yellow, and reliable.
it's yellow, and it works. I bought a cheap craftsman for a small job a few months ago. needed it to do some work last week. it crapped out after an hour. let's just say, " i would not recommend". I have other DeWalt products and have found them to be reliable. I was able to get the job done quickly with the unit. It aint fancy, and it aint cordless, but it was fairly affordable and should last me a lifetime.

Impossible Vacuum attachment
I purchased 4 months ago for a project and haven't been able to use it because I cannot find a shop vac adaptor that will fit a Ridgid shop vac or a smaller one I have. Boy it would be great if they used their engineering degrees to make an adapter that allowed vacuum hose to thread into OR SOMETHING no pumping reducer or adaptor exists that will work !

Impossible vacuum Attachment
I just purchased Sep 30 2025 it is now January 14 2026 and have had zero luck trying to connect this to one of my shop vacs ! I have to wander why it needs to be this way ! I have purchased every conceivable plumbing reducer fitting and even a DWV9120 adaptor from Dewalt ! I own many Dewalt tools but this experience has truly tainted the love affair ! All I want to do is have a good connection to my shop vac !

Does not readily connect to dust collection/vacuum
The sander works as advertised. It is much smoother than the Ridgid sander that it replaced. There is much less vibration, and my hands aren’t “numb” after hours of sanding. I do not like that I have to buy an adapter to connect it to my dust collection hose. If I had it to do over, I would look for a sander with a standard sized port for dust collection.
