does not go in reverse

this is the second one I've got under warranty and when you switch the clip to go in reverse to pull a screw out it continues to go forward and then it'll go in reverse and if you try to do it again sometimes it'll go back and forth again before it goes in reverse.

Known defect

I purchased this as part of a 7 tool set. Within hours of using it, the reverse switch intermittently stopped working. Frustration set in quickly when the torque from the drill sank the screw deeper into a board vs taking it out. Called Dewalt, sent a new drill immediately. Great customer service, right? WRONG! Same issue with the replacement except this time they made me send the drill to a service center. So now less than 3 months in, I have NO OPERATIONAL DRILL! I have to wait the 2-4 week...

Occasionally keeps going Forward when in Reverse

I returned this same model drill after 1 year because it would 3 out of 4 times, keep going Forward after switching to Reverse. it was extremely annoying. Then after 1.5 months, the new one started doing the same thing. Not as often as the previous one, but this one started sooner than the previous one. Not Dewalt Quality

Purchased May 2024, so have had it 4 months. The toggle switch between forward and reverse gets hung up and doesn't switch smoothly. I prefer my impact driver and only used this drill for things that wouldn't fit the impact, so it hasn't gotten used a ton. I noticed the hangup a couple of weeks after I bought it, but it got progressively worse and now I may have to try the switch 4-5 times before it moves over. I love these combo deals from Lowe's......and I really love the DeWalt power tool lineup. Those who know, know that you can send some hard earned cash on these tools.....always great quality and no issues. But these prices can't be beat. Smaller than the XR, Mighty in its ability.
