Perfect size
This is the perfect size for getting into those hard to reach areas. The handle is comfortable and the blade that comes with it is sufficient for cutting. Easy to replace with the blades of your choice.
I found a replacement for my hacksaw
I received a product and was immediately impressed by the sturdiness of it. I like the fact that it had the tension knob on it or you could tighten up the blade. Just let me make straighter cuts as compared to using an old-fashioned hacksaw. I had some plastic pipe to repair and this worked out great
Solid construction and very comfortable to use
I've always found this style hacksaw much more useful than the larger bow style, especially for getting into tight spaces. Which seems to be the case more often than not. Typically this style hacksaw are made very flimsy and cheap. I love the robustness of this one. When you use it with a 12" blade the blade protrudes pass the front about 2", which is exactly what I use most to get things like toilet flange bolts and pretty much any tight spaces. It took me a couple minutes to orientate the...
Very comfortable in the hand
Very comfortable to use. The blade cuts cleanly and with little effort. The handle is soft easy to use. I had to problem cutting through copper tubing with this saw. Will recommend to all my friends.
Good sturdy hacksaw is a welcome tool
The Cresent 10inch hacksaw gives the feel of a well-made hacksaw that is easy to use and easy to store. A little different than what I am used to, so I was a bit skeptical. But, its sturdy, has a better than good tension system, a god grip design and around 7 pounds with the blade all surprising features in a tool that is a good percentage plastic. My first project was a bit much for it but it cut through the next two pieces of tine with ease. I like it!
Solidly Built, Compact Hacksaw
This compact hacksaw is solidly built and constructed to last many years. It features a limited life warranty. Tightening the sawblade is quick and easy with just the turn of a handle. A 10 inch, 24 TPI sawblade comes aleady installed. The handle is comfortable and features grips so as to not slip out of your hands while using. Changing the sawblade looks easy and quick to accomplish.
I wanted to like this hacksaw, but...
I wanted to like this hacksaw due to its smaller size and ability to fit into small spaces. Unfortunately, I could not find much to like. First, the blade locking mechanism is unnecessarily complicated (unscrewing a back cap, sticking your finger in through a hole in the back of the handle to dislodge the blade). Second, the movement of this saw is like cutting a loaf of bread. The downward grip design removes all leverage for applying force. To exert pressure, one must push down with their hand...
