All kits come with enough posts to install at a maximum center-to-center spacing of 6FT (example: 24FT kit includes 5 posts). All you need to do is measure each deck/stair side and order a kit that most closely match in length (always round up to the nearest size to ensure proper fit as kits can be trimmed down to your exact length). All kits come with posts that are pre-drilled, mounting bolts, CityPost patented top rail bracket, all cable and cable hardware is marine grade 316 stainless steel (10 percent extra cable is included with every order). In addition, all kits come with metal top rail that is powder coated to match the posts. 100 percent of components are included to complete your railing. [Example] For a deck with three sides that measure [12FT, 24FT,12FT] you will want to order three CityPost kits: (2) 12FT kits and (1) 24FT kit. For any corners/changes in direction simply add CityPost top rail sleeves to your order to conceal any top rail corner joints. When you I ordered a kit for a customer from City Post , they would not modify to remove extra parts I did not need or use. example- they sent zinc colored concrete anchors to use with black posts? and black lag screws even though I specifically said I was was mounting to a concrete deck. I told the sales I'm a professional railing installer and i know what I need for the job . He said they come as a kit and can't be removed. Thick and study but coating scratches easily
I installed this railing for a customer. You have to be VERY careful when cutting the rails. The powder coated finish scratches like crazy. I need to do a couple of touch up areas, especially the lag bolts for the posts. Other than that it was a simple setup. The instructions could be improved, especially for the stair install. It some trial and error to figure those out.
