Fantastic sharpener Poor directions
I use both sides of the slots as a guide drawing the knife towards me (not back and forth). This is contrary to the written directions. I got the idea watching people using it on youtube who were praising the sharpener. Before I started doing that I could not sharpen a knife with it. I was extremely frustrated. The written directions specifically said don't touch the sides of the slot and hold the knife vertical. Now I get a blade that is unbelievably super sharp. The only problem I have with th...

Finally I have sharp kitchen knives!
I love to cook and have tried lots of knife sharpeners. After a while, I'm back to square one and sick of having dull knives. After reading a review I decided to try Chef's Choice ProntoPro Diamond hone knife Sharpener. Heaven, I'm in heaven! My knives are sharp and it is easier to keep them that way. I know it is counter intuitive, but sharpers knives are safer too. I'm very happy I made this purchase.

Perfect for Victorinox and Henckels knives
V angle is 20 x 2 = 40, Henckels/Zwilling is 15 x 2 = 30. Hard to find sharpening tools at the correct blade angles.

I don't think this problem is specific to this knife sharpener but the sound of running the blade back and forth does feel like nails on a chalkboard to me. Works super well though my knives are very sharp!
