Love my new range! The induction feature makes cooking a breeze - everything heats up so quickly. I also like the clean lines of the range, as well as the ease of cleanup. The lit knobs (when a burner is turned to 'on') is an added plus.

Loving it, 6 months of use so far

I'd rather not have spent this much for an oven range, but we love it and agree it was worth the investment in our health, convenience, and ease of use and cleaning. I'm fine with the cost because I expect it to last about a decade, and we use the stove every day, typically 2-4 times most days, though the oven only few times a month max, like to roast vegetables (okra, brussels spouts, drizzled with oil and seasoning), broil fish or steak, and bake (low carb) cookies. OK, not great

Plug in temp. sensor is useless-tried it twice and it was 40 deg. to 60 deg. off. We checked it against two different instant read thermometers. Heating elements are inconsistant and magnets are smaller than I was told. Using the front left element two days in a row with exactly the same amounts of products, we needed to use far different power settings to cook.

Off gassing

Have had it for a month, can't bake still because the oven off gasses so bad still

Great range

I love my new GE Cafe induction range. It's easy to use, looks great.

11-inch burner is 6-inches, loud whistling sounds

Problems with burner recognizing pans (brand new high quality pans and high quality iron), horrendous smell from oven after cleaning + burning out for 20 hours in 4 cycles at 500F, Makes loud high pitched noises when 2 burners are on, cycles on and off for any power below medium, 11 inch burner is really a 6 inch burner, burners don't heat evenly.

Only one thing not perfection

Love the sensitivity of the burners. As reactive if not more so than gas. Total of preparing a meal is a lot less than electric or gas. It is very easy to keep clean. Ergonomics are great. Only negative is the preheat time of the oven. However, once the oven is in use the food cooks very evenly.

Great features!

My range is beautiful and has many great features, I’m new to induction cooking, so far it seems great. The oven features are really nice.

Not reliable

the front burner comes on high and then it goes to low and you have to turn it off and then on again, sometimes several times to get it to high. GE replaced the burner and the new one does the same thing. Useless
