After two years of use and driving tapcons for 75% of my basement floor, my craftsman brushed motor impact driver died. I decided to upgrade and stick to the Craftsman 20v ecosystem. After driving tapcons to secure just one 4x8 sheet of plywood, the front of this impact driver started leaking oil. I only had it for a few days and it was trashed. Solid heavy duty impact!
Got this impact and a rp brushless drill in a kit and I gotta say they are similar if not exactly same to some of the dewalt atomic and preform substantially well. This impact has held up to days of work and abuse and works like new.

Bait and switch
This item was fine, but ended up paying full price because the two battery pack that I was supposed to get was unavailable so when I bought the batteries advertised, the free tool was not included! Classic bait and switch, website said two batteries were in stock

Great option for a DYI-er
I’ll start by admitting I have an emotional bias towards Craftsman, as it was my dad’s tool brand of choice when I was a kid. And I also acknowledge that Craftsman today isn’t the same company it was back then. With that said, this is a fantastic impact driver for an occasional user/DIY-er like myself. This is a great little impact driver!
The variable speed makes it easy to start long screws and the impact drives them home. The drill/driver has a powerful brushless motor but is surprisingly light-weight, making it easier to hang from my tool belt. The light is bright and more effective than some other drivers I'm used, and even with the small battery it has a long battery life.
