Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
The hardwood flooring has a mixed reception, with some praising its attractive color, variety, and durability, while others reporting quality control issues like warped, splintered, or defective boards. Customers may need to carefully inspect and potentially return any problematic boxes, as inconsistent coloring and graining across different boxes has also been noted. Overall, the flooring can provide a good quality result, but buyers should be prepared to curate the boards during installation to achieve a consistent look.

I took home samples from the store and ordered the exact part number on the sample, and the wrong wood is assigned to the sample. The wood delivered doesn’t even match the correct part number in the store on display. Delivery was also several days late, and they couldn’t figure out how to get me the correct word for over a week. My contractor sat stubs getting paid to do nothing waiting for wood delivery, costing me time and money. Lowe’s still charged me full price despite their screw up. Not h...
Nothing
It is a quality product
Bad wood
Like others have said buy all of the same batch #, In my case the boards were knotty , pieces of the trim to connect was missing. Wood was warped and if you don’t get the batch # of all they have then you will get a different color then you started with. I was very disappointed I had always heard Bruce flooring was so good. Will not buy again and I think lowes should stop carrying it

I thought it would be better
So this flooring is not the worst i have work with, but it was also not the best. The boards had an inconsistent thickness that was not noticed until multiple rows were installed, making the floor not smooth. Also tops of boards were slightly concave making the flooring scalloped as if it had water damage, It was not expensive as far as prices goes but it was 2 1/4 " flooring so usually cheaper. Also i wonder about the finishes durability. It seemed to damage easily compared to other brands i ha...
bought to match my existing
I never write product reviews simply because ive almost never had a product annoy me so much to do so, this is one of the products ill speak truthfully on. We remodeled our kitchen and luckily enough when we bought our home, the old homeowners laid this flooring in the living room and hallway. They had left a half box so i was actually able to track this flooring down and match it into the existing, which was almost a poor choice. At least every box had a hamdful of defective pieces, ranging fro...

Verify what the quantity is before buying!
Bruce is supposed to be quality but in this purchase the flooring is terrible, ends are not square, wood filler on the toungs and the grooves, this material was supposed to be red oak, some other soft wood species mixed in with the red oak, slot of the boards have orange or black markings with a pen/ grease pencil. Quite a bit of damage to the finished side . Quite a few boards the toungs were not there, the ends of the boards were covered in black dirt. Just a very poor purchase on my part, I j...

Horrible Quality Flooring
Something has happened with Bruce flooring post-pandemic. I purchased multiple boxes of Bruce hickory flooring during the late 20-teens, and it was an excellent product. Fast-forward to 2023-24 and I needed some Bruce Addison Spice Oak. Many of the boxes no longer carry the Bruce logo, and you have to search closely on the box to see that this flooring is produced by AHF, Bruce's parent company. These AHF boxes, especially, are of EXTREMELY POOR quality. The finish is bubbly on some boards, spli...

Make sure you purchase all from the same batch!
I really like SOME of the product received. The problem was that it did not all match, and there was no tracking by batch # to track down matching colors.
Buy at least 20% extra so you can pick through.
I am overall super happy this product was available. We had previously done Bruce engineered flooring in the color spice at least 20 years ago. Our living room, however, we cut cost on snd left a 16x20 area snd filled with plush carpet. We had to adjust the floor to install this 3/4” solid hardwood to butt up against the 3/8” engineered flooring. It is as close as we could get to a match, and am thrilled we did it. Select grade was not an option or I would have gladly paid more for it. We bought...
Poor Quality
Customer of mine bought this floor its the worst quality of flooring I've ever installed. We have about a box and a half we can't use the color match is horrible so many knots, warped boards some without tongues etc such horrible material DO NOT BUY!!
