Engineered with 21700 cell technology, the GBA18 V40 single-layer battery matches the power from the original two-layer 4.0 Ah battery with improved performance per cell. The Bosch GAX18V-30 18V/12V Dual-Bay Charger can charge Bosch 18V and Bosch 12V Max Lithium-ion batteries, and other USB-charged devices. The battery provides exclusive CoolPack 2.0 technology to manage the heat of the higher power-density cells, and it provides better cooling than the previous 4.0 Ah double-layer versions. This new-gen CORE18V still features 100% compatibility with all Bosch 18V Lithium-ion tools and chargers. The Dual-Bay Charger provides a 2.4 Amp max USB port to power up a cell phone (and other USB-charged devices). It quickly charges batteries and it provides LED indicators so users can monitor the charging while they work.
