The Bosch PL2632K 3-1/4 In. Planer Kit features a tool with a 6.5 Amp motor that produces 16,500 RPM for fast stock removal and smooth finishes. The tool's ambidextrous lock-off release button helps prevent avoid accidental starts, and it has a lock-on button for extended operation, a combination that is unique to Bosch planers. The chip-ejection switch can be moved to discharge the shavings left or right, and dust ports are located on both sides of the tool to accommodate a large shavings bag. What Customers Are Saying

The electric hand planer offers good power and performance, with customers praising its ease of use. The depth adjustment, long power cord, and included accessories are also noted as strengths. However, some users report issues with blade alignment and quality control, leading to uneven cuts and requiring adjustments. Concerns are also raised about the aluminum sole wearing down quickly. While the planer appears capable overall, buyers should be aware of the potential alignment and durability problems based on the mixed feedback.

Terrible

Bosch is like Porsche or Harley or any other big name, you are paying for what they were, not what they are. Mine came in with a mis-aligned blade which sounds like a common error on their part. Why? Just give us a good product and have some pride. I will not recommend this product.

I've had good luck with Bosch planers.

Would Recommend

My first one years ago had two blades. I abused it, and it died, my bad. My second one had one blade, it was a bit lighter duty. It's sort of worn out, much use. What is this talk about converting to two blade but you need special equipment? What, where, how? Could you be a little more vague, please? What, do I buy the standard PL2632K and then buy the two blade accessories later?

Boschs worst tool

Would Not Recommend

Bought this a few weeks ago. Upon first use it cut unevenly and ruined the material. I thought Bosch was a quality brand and I was the problem , not the tool. I replaced the materials , watched various instructional videos and tried it again - same issue occurred. Now I’m out a couple hundred dollars in materials. I returned the planer to the store and I was informed this is a surprisingly common issue.

Stuck with a lemon?

Would Not Recommend

I really don't like to give low reviews, but my experience has been frustrating. Over the past six months I've had to send the planer back for warranty service twice on separate issues and now a third has just popped up. And this is with only a few hours of total use on soft woods. I've had positive experiences with Bosch tools elsewhere, but my PL2632K has really been a lemon so far.
