The Blackboard was a nice upgrade from the Jot, which I used to own. The tablet is a nice size and features like the templates and drawing lock (which oddly enough are excluded from the 2.0 model). My only real complaints are the build quality being a bit flimsy, and how the templates insert behind the board. They aren’t very secure at all and slide around easily. Just like every other Boogie Board except somewhere along the line the battery was made replaceable and a lock erase switch was added. There may have been other changes internally. The heavy paper backboards are a good idea except whichever one you're not using cannot be stored on the board so it's sure to get lost eventually. The line the "pen" makes is pretty skinny. Great portable whiteboard

This device has replace my office whiteboard (which I didn't really have a good place to hang) and as long as you think of it like that, it's great. I really wish there was an easy way to link this to something like Onenote... There appears to be an app for this, but my work environment blocks it, rendering it useless... Great way to save ideas, and save paper.

I like the way I can change the background, and scribble thoughts and ideas on the board. I can take this to a meeting, or use it during phone calls to capture ideas or take notes. The standard 8½ x 11 size means I don't have to compress my notes or drawings to fit a small board while saving paper at the same time. However, I'm disappointed that the erase and lock feature don't work. I've tried to calibrate the erase feature and all it does is dim the entire content. The lock feature fails ...

Rid yourself of all those handwritten pages.

Use this for various logs and handwritten records that need to be kept for a year. Replaced many notebooks containing hundreds of sheets of paper. Only thing is I wish there was an app to create your own forms or layout that can be seen by Blackboard app. Currently, black and white documents, etc don't photo well enough to be useful. The boogie board itself is excellent and does what they advertise.

Every Office Needs This....

It is exactly what I was expecting. It helps me to cut down dramatically on sticky notes at work. Most things I write down, are while I am on the phone. I never know what information I will need or not need until I get done with a conversation. Now I can write things like this on my Boogie Board, and just delete it when I no longer need the information. I love this so much. It is a paper saver. One my best creativity tools. I've used this with Camera Obscura devices both the prism and mirror type. Also used it with Correction Gel Light Filter Clear Color 11ix8 inch Sheets as see through media for quick real life views/objects/people and obtaining perspective dimensional points for my art. I prefer my own background sheets with clear or colored plastic for notational images.

Great reusable notepad but don't lose the pen!

Really happy with my purchase. Cool to have the semi-transparent background to trace over things and the click to erase button works great. The eraser on the back of the pen doesn't really work that great as it mostly looks like your smudging the lines when you try to use it, but we've been managing without it. Only wish the pen had a more secure way to stay attached to the board when not using it.

I started using Boogie Boards for Mandarin classes to practice writing characters and I've been hooked ever since. Recently, I signed up for a triathlon and have started training for the swim.
