It is built well and should stand up to use. I wish it had a threaded end on it so that I could add longer sections to dig deeper. I will need to "modify" it myself to make it dig more than a couple of feet deep, hence the one star off. The size of the auger is adjustable, and the entire tool is covered in a thick layer of paint that should protect it.

While digging in clay the non-cutting edges would drag and build up deposits, had to cut 1 inch off both to make it work in the clay. I got this for digging a well, disappointed that it wasn't expandable, cut the handle off and welded a coupling to extend the handle.
