How can this be ADA compliant when the maximum door size is only 30", while ADA requires 36" doors??? I don't even need it for ADA, just for a 32" door! Try again.
Pretty much a waste of time and money for me.
The door into my garage seems to slam all the time with those spring hinges. So, I wanted something that closed the door slower and therefore would not slam. Well, this was a waste of $40 and 90 minutes of my time, since the "speed adjustment" seems to have two speeds: fast enough to slam just as much as before, or so slow and lacking in power, the door doesn't latch. Installed two of these. Great product.
I installed one on our backporch door that was always left open at the most inopportune time and it solved a problem easily! The second one I installed on our 3/4 bath downstairs to keep the dogs from following us into the bathroom (Lord knows why). Does anyone know if the force required to push open the door is adjustable? I know about the adjustment to get the door to close *faster*. Is there anyway to adjust the amount of force necessary to open? Anyone?

bought this today. it's like they were expecting every door to be made of wood. the directions felt like they were lacking details. yes they gave you template but you can only open the door a 1/3 of the way and it locks in place automatically. Idk who designed this thing but they need to be fired.
