This crate only lacks the metal sides inserts otherwise it would be exactly the same as Petmate (Vari-Kennels) top of the line crates. The doors are the strongest in this type of crate, and replaceable later on. These crates will last forever, and with the ability to replace the door (and we have had some for 15 years and can still replace the doors) that makes this crate, at this price, impossible to beat.
